Upon arrival you will be transported to the hotel. Free morning to explore the city.

In the afternoon, you will meet your guide and start your half day tour visiting the Santa Lucia hill. From the Caupolicán terrace you will admire the Hidalgo castle (formerly a Spanish fort) and views of the city. The tour continues to Plaza Constitución and the Palacio de la Moneda, the government palace. The next stop is the Plaza de Armas surrounded by the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Supreme Court Palace, the Central Post Office building and other buildings of general interest. A short drive will take us to San Cristobal Hill, on the way we will see the Central Market, Mapocho Station, Forestal Park and the Fine Arts Museum. Return by funicular or by car depending on the weather. Transfer to the hotel.

Our “Garden City”, Viña del Mar, will captivate us with its architecture, streets, palaces and the Quinta Vergara. We will tour the coastline and visit Valparaíso, a city whose origins date back to 1536. This city has been declared a World Cultural Heritage Site by Unesco and is the seat of the legislative branch. It is a magical city, with picturesque elevators, colorful neighborhoods and unique and unforgettable landscapes. Finally, we will visit the Plaza Sotomayor and the port, where we can optionally sail across the bay of Valparaíso. At the end of the excursion, return to Santiago where you will spend the night.

At the appropriate time transfer to Santiago airport to take your flight to Punta Arenas. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.

Regular excursion with Spanish guide

In the afternoon you will be picked up at your hotel to discover the Magallanes National Reserve, a forested protected area with a variety of trails for trekking and mountain biking. The reserve is located just eight kilometers west of the city of Punta Arenas and covers an area of 20,878 hectares. Within it is the De las Minas River, where coal was found, the main reason for Governor José de los Santos Mardones to move the colony from Fuerte Bulnes to the Sandy Point or Punta Arenas area in 1848.

At the beginning of the excursion we will cross different neighborhoods south of the city, to soon take a gravel road that leads us to the reserve. Once there, we must take a four-kilometer road surrounded by the Patagonian forest that leads us to the beginning of the trail where we will hike for about half an hour. During the hike we will be able to appreciate different species of flora such as romerillo, sarsaparilla, devil’s strawberry, calafate, murtilla, notro, leñadura, michay and forests of lenga and coigue. Among the bird species it is possible to see chunchos, rayaditos, chercanes, cachañas, chincoles, cometocinos, zorzales and tiuques. From the trail we will also have a panoramic view of the De las Minas River valley on its way to the Strait of Magellan. The return to Punta Arenas is by the same route.

At the appropriate time you should go to the bus terminal to take your regular bus to Puerto Natales and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the city and its gastronomy.

The excursion begins with a visit to the Milodon Cave, a remarkable cavern 200 meters long, 30 meters high and 80 meters wide, located 25 km from Puerto Natales. A half-hour walk will take us into the cave, known for the discovery of fresh skin and bones of a prehistoric species of giant sloth, the mylodon. Remains of other extinct animals have also been found there, such as the dwarf horse, bear, panther and saber-toothed tiger.

In Cerro Castillo where we stop at a cafeteria and then continue to Torres del Paine crossing numerous estancias and a landscape ranging from steppe to deciduous forest. On the way it is possible to spot local fauna including the South American ostrich and the guanaco, a wild camelid.

Torres del Paine is known worldwide for the massifs that give it its name, granite giants shaped by the force of glacial ice. After entering the park we discover a series of colorful lagoons, ice-covered mountains and abundant local fauna. Then we will stop for a 15-minute hike to the Salto Grande waterfall on the Paine River. After lunch we continue to Grey Lake, where we will take a walk to the beach from where you can see the glacier of the same name in the distance. Lodging at the selected hotel in the park.

After breakfast, you will have free time to do some mini trekking and in the afternoon you will take the bus to El Calafate (Departure in the afternoon from Laguna Amarga).

It begins in the Port of the Bay “Bajo de las Sombras”. There he embarks to reach the opposite shore of the Magallanes Peninsula, crossing the Rico Branch of Lake Argentino. Navigation time is approximately 20 minutes.

Specialized guides will lead the group (approximately 10 people) through a coastal path to the southern margin of the glacier. There the crampons will be placed, and the necessary information for the walk will be provided. From there you begin to slowly ascend the glacier, with occasional stops to take pictures. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy in situ the different formations of the glacier, the sensation that is experienced is indescribable.

On the way back, a path through the forest is used, which allows another perspective of the glacier. Upon arrival at the refuge, there is free time for lunch (lunch not included) and then the group embarks to sail back to the starting point.

Breakfast. Transfer on your own to the bus terminal in El Calafate to take the bus to El Chaltén. This trip takes approximately 3 hours.

Upon arrival at noon you will stop at the park ranger’s office where you will get information about all the hikes you can do in El Chaltén.

At the appropriate time you will be picked up at your hotel and taken to the airport for your flight to Ushuaia. Upon arrival in Ushuaia, famous for being the city at the end of the world, you will be transferred to the Hotel.

Today you will be picked up from your hotel (shared service) and you will set out on your way to Tierra del Fuego National Park. Once in Ensenada Bay, you will have time to enjoy the views over the Beagle Channel before starting the walk along the coast.

There are six kilometers of route in which you will have the possibility of observing the wild flora and fauna, as well as the opportunity to discover traces of ancient indigenous people and settlers of the area, the Yamanas. In 3 hours you will arrive at Lago Roca, where lunch will be ready.

After a picnic, a canoe trip will begin on the Lapataia River, which will take you to Lapataia Bay in the Beagle Channel, precisely where the Pan-American Highway and National Route 3 end.

If you prefer a less adventurous option, let us know and we can change this excursion for the traditional excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park, and you also have the option of taking the End of the World Train.

After breakfast you will go to the tourist pier to navigate the Beagle Channel. During the tour you will have panoramic views of the city of Ushuaia, in addition to seeing the diverse marine fauna, such as cormorants and sea lions, on the islands of Los Lobos and De los Pajaros.

If the winds allow it, you will disembark on one of the Bridges Islands, where you can see the remains of giant shells, and enjoy views of Chile and Argentina.

Continuing with the navigation, they will pass by the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, known as the “Lighthouse at the end of the world”.

You must pay a local tax at the port of US$ 4. –

At the appointed time you will be transported to the local airport to take the flight to Trelew.

Upon arrival in Trelew you will be transferred to the hotel in Puerto Madryn (67 kilometers away). The city offers different activities to enjoy during the first day; we recommend visiting the waterfront and trying any of the local restaurants that prepare delicious dishes.

Possibility of taking an optional excursion on the Moonlight expedition to see local fauna in their natural habitat at night. Highly recommended. Contact us!

After breakfast, you will start the full day excursion to the Punta Tombo Penguin Colony.

Located south of Puerto Madryn, Punta Tombo is the largest Magellanic Penguin colony in South America, with more than 200,000 breeding pairs that raise their young in this reserve between September and February. You will be able to walk among these funny creatures. A brief visit of Trelew and Gaiman will be made before returning to the hotel in the afternoon.

After breakfast, you will start the full day excursion to Península Valdés. The small and picturesque town of Puerto Pirámide offers the possibility of embarking on a whale watching trip. After the sighting, you will make several stops at strategic points on the peninsula where you will observe sea lions, guanacos, penguins and orcas, among other marine animals. In the afternoon you will return to the hotel.

At the appointed time you will be transported to the Trelew airport for your flight to Buenos Aires.

Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, you will be transferred to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the city. In the evening we recommend enjoying a typical Argentine dish in one of the many restaurants that the city has to offer.

During approximately 3 hours you will be able to visit Retiro, Palermo, 9 de Julio Avenue (Colón Theater and the Obelisk), Downtown (Congress, Plaza de Mayo, Avenida de Mayo, Casa Rosada), Puerto Madero and San Telmo with stops in Recoleta (Cemetery and Plaza Francia) and La Boca (Caminito).

In the evening you will enjoy a delicious dinner and a spectacular tango show in one of the city’s traditional salons. At the end of the tour you will be transferred to the hotel.
